As part of the Dubai Road Transport Authority (RTA) efforts to streamline vehicle inspection processes and offer a more efficient experience, starting June 2, 2025, booking an appointment for your vehicle inspection will be mandatory at all technical testing centres across the emirate.

What Happens If You Don’t Pre-Book?

While pre-booking is now mandatory across most testing centres, customers who prefer to walk in can still visit 19 centres offering an optional walk-in service. However, this walk-in option will incur a fee of AED 100.

Please Note:
The walk-in service is not available at the following centres:

• Wasel Al Arabian Centre & Nad Al Hamar

• Shamil Al Adid

• Al Muhaisnah and Nad Al Hamar

• Al Mumayaz Vehicle Testing Al Mizhar

• Tasjeel Al Tawar and Al Mankhool

Exemptions to the New Appointment Requirement

While booking an appointment for vehicle inspection is now mandatory, there are certain exemptions:

• People of Determination and seniors (both citizens and residents) are exempt from the booking requirement, provided their vehicles are registered in Dubai.

• The Tasjeel Hatta centre is also exempt from the appointment booking requirement.
